September 6, 2018

Already, September is here and I have found myself reminiscing about the summer days. So much is going to happen this month and I have already found myself mentally jumping about eagerly trying to plan everything out. In 3 days, I will be running a 5km race. I can’t explain the determination and nervousness I have for this event. Though I have not been able to properly train for this race, I am determined to follow through with it because I want to remind myself that despite having MS, I am still physically strong. For the first time in a while, I tried to jog and successfully ran 3.8km in under 30 minutes. With each stride, I felt my muscles begin to activate and do its own thing. It was so freeing to feel my muscles stretch and move in the familiar running movements.

Today, I experienced this strange and sudden numbing sensation in my abdomen. It is in one very specific area, beside the navel. It has lasted all day and I it feels so funny! I also experienced a stronger numbing/tingling sensation in my left arm and a slight numbness in my left cheek.  I’m hoping it won’t last too long. I’m continuing to document every sensation but I keep wondering if the small stuff is worth documenting…
