The Yeung family went on an 11-day cruise to visit Denmark, Norway, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland and Sweden. And what a whirlwind it has been. While I was away, I kept a journal of the adventures and passing thoughts that I had. Here are excerpts:

First day coming to an end. Wow, what a day. It took two flights to arrive in Copenhagen…I forgot how nostalgic it is to walk upon cobblestone while historic buildings towered over us. There were many buildings that reminded me of Amsterdam (just like all the colourful buildings, and the canals that ran through the city). But the smaller streets definitely brought me back to Italy. Oh sweet Italy! Though there were stressful and tense moments, it was a great day. I felt less stressed about walking around and letting myself wander a bit more than usual…I’m trying to allow myself to just be; live life as best as I can each day and make the most of it.

Like usual, the settling is always the hardest but we always end up being able to pull together with respect and a pinch of humour. We left Copenhagen at 4PM, full speed to Oslo, Norway. I can’t wait! Regal Princess is quite elegant and pretty. Some of the rooms remind me of an old jazz club. I’m very excited to attend more evening events. Not much to report today. Just another day of settling in. I’ve set my alarm for tomorrow! I hope I can catch the Fjords in time!!

We took a bus tour around Oslo today. A spontaneous trip all around the busy city. I woke up this morning to try to catch us going in through the Fjords…As we drove through Oslo, the refreshing air rushed through my nostrils and struck my lungs with such intensity. It was quite an awakening.. We passed by several popular buildings such as Oslo University, City Hall, museums and Frogner Park…Tomorrow will be a day at sea. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
